As we slowly start to see daylight at the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are continuously monitoring the situation with regard to getting back on the water both for training and racing.

We have seen many events shifted out into the late September and October timeframes but hopefully as we approach the summer, we will start to see confirmation of some of the earlier dates both at a national and international level.

The Notice of Race for the 29er Easterns at RStGYC on the 5/6th September is now available here.

Registration is now open for the 29er Easterns at RStGYC on the 5th and 6th of September. As the event is so close registration will close on Wednesday 2nd September. All entrants must be members of the Irish 29er class association.

We are continuing to look at different ways we can run events this year. There will be new events and we will be trying to reschedule some of our current events. Check in at the events page for more information as it will be changing constantly.

Dear 29er Sailors,

Hopefully you and your family are keeping safe and well under the current circumstances. As you see from our events calendar, many of our events have been cancelled or postponed. We will endeavour to keep you posted with the latest updates as and when we get them, but the most likely scenario is that sailing will eventually commence at club level, probably in single-handers initially, and based on the outcome of that, double-handers and larger boats. However, this is unknown territory and the landscape changes on a daily basis, at the moment, the most important thing is to stay safe and wait for better times. Take care and see you on the water, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Entry closes for this years Youth Championships at SLYC on the 16th September so make sure you get your entry in before then!

We will also be holding a short AGM after racing on Saturday.

This year, the 29er Northerns will again be part of the RYA Youth Championships at Strangford Lough Sailing Club. Entry for this fantastic event is now open. Please note that although there is no age restriction on the 29er class ( 29er Northern prizes), the RYA prizes are for the Youth category and have an age limit of U19. Find out more here.

September entry for the penultimate event of the 29er sailing season is now open. The event will be part of the Cork Dinghy Fest and promises to be a very exciting competition. Find out more here.

You can now view the Notice of Race and Sailing instructions for the upcoming Eastern Multi-hull championships in Swords Sailing club. Remember this counts towards the Triple Crown!
